are inviting writers and poets to contribute to a new anthology which
will be published in time for Christmas. The theme will be of ghosties and Ghoulies
and other things that go bang in the night.
The idea is to unsettle all those lovely customers who will be
reading these stories on Christmas Eve and New Year.
All work should be submitted by – at the latest –
30th September 2016.
Just to give you a few ideas.

The guidelines are
as follows:-this
There are some guidelines below. I’m afraid some of them do mutate into the dreaded “smallprint”. In an ideal world this wouldn’t be required at all for a fun project, but there are certain legal niceties to be observed when publishing with Amazon/Lulu. Aside from that, it’s all about making the project as fun and easy as possible
The closing date for entries is September 30th 2016
- Actual TMA pieces are encouraged (but not compulsory).
- Poems can be up to a max of 120 lines and can be a series of poems. Length can be discussed if length of poem it is essential.
- Please PM Facebook to Diana Leighton or Fiona Baker if you wish to be included
- Please include a new biography (Preferably 50+ words, but no more than 100.) You may wish to mention your creative writing studies, any work already published, future projects, or something else. Biography is optional, so if you wish to be meek, that’s fine.
- The editors will carry out basic proof-reading and spell-checking, but it's really each contributor's own responsibility (not to mention reputation!) If there’s anything in your work which you fear might be incorrectly “corrected” please point it out in advance otherwise your work will be returned for correction before inclusion.
- By submitting work, you signal your permission to include it in this anthology, and that you have the legal right to give that permission. You retain copyright of the actual work, but permit the editor(s) to publish it in this anthology, and agree to Amazon being given standard permissions regarding publication and distribution.
- The question of whether/what to charge for the ebook will be put to a single vote before launch day. By submitting your work, you signal your acceptance of the result of this vote, regardless of whether you cast a vote yourself. In the event of a tie, the average of the tied prices (to the nearest penny) will be used.
- The cover price will be subject to review (by the same process) after 1 calendar month's sales figures are available. Subsequent changes to the cover price may be made if more than 50% of the contributing authors vote in favour, but at intervals no shorter than 1 calendar month during the first year and no shorter than 6 calendar months thereafter.
- Note that it is not possible to have Amazon split the Kindle royalty payments. We will need to agree on a “treasurer” who will have any payments sent direct to their own bank account.
- Any earnings (hey, let's be optimistic!) will be split between contributors according to the number of pieces included in the anthology. e.g. If our friend Al has two pieces included, and eight others each contributed one piece, and the book earned £10, then Al would get £2 and the others would each get £1.
- If required, a discussion and vote can take place about whether we form a kitty for future anthology publishing expenses.
- It is open for debate as to whether or not or where earnings can be placed into a charity nominated and agreed with all contributors.
